For students pursuing a Graphic Design degree or an emphasis in Digital Design; also open to other interested students. Students will develop critical thinking, research, and practical skills related the graphic design industry. Students solve design problems by designing for commercial media, self-promotion. Includes practical exercises in project management and other real-world applications. Course content changes by semester to reflect current trends and issues in the design industry. Repeatable up to 6 credits subject to graduation restrictions. Course fee required. Prerequisites: DES 2300 AND DES 2600 (Grade C- or higher). FA.
