The Associate of Applied Science in General Technology (A.A.S.) - Information Technology emphasis, prepares students for entry-level IT careers. The content incorporates related general education requirements, and provides students with the basic skills of networking, operating systems, programming, and hardware.

30 credits from an accredited Utah System, technical college program. The specific content, which may be transferred for credit, must exceed 900 membership hours and must be an articulated program with Utah Tech. Transfer coursework for a certificate of completion will be evaluated, and credit awarded in accordance with approved articulation agreements as outlined in R473.
- Complete a minimum of 63 college-level credits (1000 and above).
- Complete at least 20 lower-division credits at Utah Tech for institutional residency.
- Grade of C or better earned in every course.
- Cumulative GPA 2.0 or higher.

At the successful conclusion of this program, students will be able to:
- Demonstrate technical specialty competencies by completing an articulated 900 hour ATC program.
Administer computing resources to support organizational needs, including networks and operating systems.
- Identify and resolve technical problems using troubleshooting techniques.
