  2. Cumulative GPA of 2.0 or higher

Sustainability Certificate Program Learning Outcomes

At the successful completion of this certificate program, students will be able to:

  1. Formulate sustainable approaches to energy and earth science issues that integrate environmental, economic, behavioral, and sociopolitical perspectives.
  2. Distinguish between Earth’s surface and deep energy sources and the processes they power and appraise how we depend on and harvest those energy resources to sustain our society.
  3. Evaluate the benefits of conventional and renewable energy systems, including those that are involved in transportation technologies, food production, energy security, and how to evolve into sustainable energy operations.
