Gerontology Certificate Program Learning Outcomes

At the successful conclusion of this program, students will be able to:

1. Develop and demonstrate an understanding of the normal changes associated with aging.
2. Distinguish between normal aging changes and changes/behaviors with pathological condition. 
3. Develop and demonstrate an understanding of current aging issues in society such as: politics, health, family relationships and caregiving, work and retirement, economic well-being, housing, and demographics.
